India through my eyes - Short travel notes
You should have seen her in that red sari: the tenacity of Durga, the beauty of Laksmi, the grace of Saraswati.

Lifting a corner of her sari she jumps on the shore to catch the wave, then runs towards the beach and again towards the wave until the latter with its force makes her lose her balance and in making her fall it also wets the stole that covered her black hair gathered in what was a neat braid. But she doesn't care and enthusiastically smiles and falls back letting herself be pushed by the waves, beautiful in that purple sari, an ivory-white smile and already a red bindi between her eyebrows even if in this moment she still looks like a child. And again another wave, her eyes more and more amused, her braid more and more disheveled and a composure now forgotten.
